About NTA
Nichole Thompson-Adams is a multifaceted artist whose work spans acting, writing and comedy, with a strong foundation in theater.
She is best known for her autobiographical solo show Black Girl You’ve Been Gentrified, which sold out both Joe’s Pub at the PUBLIC theater and at the Cherry Lane Theatre. In this "funny... insightful" production (NYTimes), Nichole tackles race, culture, and gentrification, drawing from her experiences as a Jamaica-born, Brooklyn-raised woman navigating the changing landscape of her neighborhood.
In addition to her theatrical work, Thompson-Adams appeared as herself in the 2016 documentary All This Panic, which explores the lives of young women coming of age in New York City. She was a featured comedian on Nickelodeon's Take Me to Your Mother, and developed another series for the network that she describes as "West Indian Queer Eye".
NIchole's work is characterized by a commitment to authenticity and a deep connection to her Brooklyn roots, allowing her to engage audiences with both humor and poignant social commentary.
